KMM Culture Centre

The KMM culture centre is one of the largest sound machine museums in Switzerland. It displays the entire range of mechanical musical instruments.

Discover mechanical masterpieces from small cylinder music boxes to orchestrions and huge fairground organs. But that's not all! A nostalgic merry-go-round, a cinema organ from the silent movie era and puppet machines complete this incredible collection of self-playing sound machines.

The rooms of the exhibition and the organ hall are designed to reflect the corresponding eras such as the Wilhelminian period, Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

Visit the sound machine museum and get an insight into the development of self-playing musical instruments. Indulge in nostalgia with a Charlie Chaplin movie or, with the sound of the Wurlitzer or fairground organs, relive the days of rock'n'roll and dance halls.

The former silk factory in Dürnten has become a lively culture and social centre thanks to the sound machine museum.
