Hulftegg Guesthouse

Enjoy a magnificent view of the Toggenburg and Appenzellerland and stay where the three cantons of St. Gallen, Thurgau and Zurich meet.

Please sit down on our panoramic terrace with a gorgeous view. Our smaller guests can enjoy the children's playground with an indoor bouncy castle and a trampoline that can also be used in rainy weather.
Our favourites are fruit escalope, fondue chinoise, raclette and table grill as well as various speciality weeks.
Throughout the year, we offer a delicious Sunday breakfast buffet/brunch from 8 to 11:30 a.m.

Feel free to use our charging station for electric cars in front of the house. Guests arriving on e-bikes may charge their batteries at the restaurant for free. We offer guest rooms with shower/WC from CHF 60 with breakfast.
For groups of up to 25 people, we offer special group rooms (with 4, 6 or 8 beds).
Our holiday home sleeps up to four people.

Celebrate your company event or private party at the Hulftegg guesthouse with a murder mystery dinner, a cocktail and long drink or barbecue course or e-bike tours.

The guesthouse also offers seminar rooms for up to 100 people.

Hikes/walks
The short joke trail leads in the shade along the edge of the forest. It is also suitable for people with walking difficulties and families with strollers.

The Hulftegg guesthouse is the starting point for short and longer hikes to Hörnli mountain, Schnebelhorn and other excursion destinations of the area. The Hulftegg circular trail with only slight ascents is about 7km long and can be easily mastered in two hours.

As of May 2023, line 766 (Bütschwil–Mühlrüti–Hulftegg Pass) will be extended as far as Steg ZH on weekends. This will provide attractive connections for excursions to Hulftegg Pass every two hours during summer season from May through October.

In addition, the oldtimer bus of the steam train association of the Zurich Oberland provides a connection from Bauma as far as Hulftegg Pass on selected Sundays. A special fare applies. The oldtimer bus is part of the national bus association with public transport supplementary connections in 19 Swiss mountain areas.
